Forum description for new web visitors.

This is really just a casual easy going modeling tutorial forum for Caligari Truespace 3D modeling software. It features how to use TS to make 3D models with the software itself. You'll also find downloable files in the form of file attachments to some posts as well a some free 3D models uploaded by forum members. In addition to the main forum it has several sub forums for other Caligari modeling software like Caligari Gamespace 3D. We also have forums for Battlezone II Combat Commander, VRML modeling, and Unreal Tournament modeling plugins for Truespace. The original forum is about a year old now but is still actively maintained by my self as a general teaching aid to other people interested in 3D modleing in general. I welcome you all and encourage interested people to join the forum and share with others what you like about the art of creating things in three dimentional art forms.

The forum is under going constant changes to make it more fun and useful for forum members and web users who happen to stumble across us on the Internet. We also have a Live Chat feature for members wanting to yap with one another if their so inclined. Have fun and enjoy yourself folks. BNG123.

Cosmo VRML Viewer for Web Browsers.

There are quite a few resources for using with Truespace. Some are free while others must be purschased from 3rd party vendors. Some are plugin addons to Truespace while others are modeling tools to convert model files for use with other software and video games. I have quite a few TSX plugins available for use with video games like Battlezone, Unreal Tournament, Quake and Doom. Most are model exporters. I try to add new plugins as I find them on the web and attach them to forum posts for other members to download and use. I also post links to resources as I find them.

Cosmo VRML Viewer for Web Browsers.

I found this browser plugin and thought it might be useful for sharing models with other members. Truespace, supports exporting both VRML version 1 and 2 and can import VRML 1 models directly into the modelside affectionately known as Truespace 6.6. With it installed you can associate VRML models to open in your browser for viewing models is 3D. It has controls to manipulate the model so you can view it from various angles I would imagine that animation is supported as well. Still have to test this out though, but I know it works for static models with multiple cameras. In TS cameras can be added to scenes with a special icon that looks like a camera and the cameras can be moved around the 3D space and adjusted up and down left and right and angled and zoomed as well. Hopefully, I'll get a few BZII models uploaded. To create a VRML file select TS6Files>Save as>VRML scene. If you want to reload a VRML back into Truespace unX the VRML 2.0 box so that TS saves the file as VRML 1.0 otherwise you won't be able to reload the scene into TS. You also need to convert textures to JPG or PNG.
