Animating the tanks' linkworks with a script

Postby tsvetan » September 15th, 2014, 10:41 am

Hi everyone,
I started a new project for animating some types of linkworks, mostly used by tanks, excavators, dredges and other vehicles.
In fact the script is commercial, but feel free to use the demo without license restrictions.
At the moment the demo version includes 18 2 wheels based linkworks and 1 - 4 wheel. It works in 3ds Max 2009 and newer.
Maybe it is also compatible with some older versions.
I will try to add support for 3ds Max 4 the next days.

Watch the very starting video tutorial at http://youtu.be/LzhH0fY1Y0Q
I will post on this topic news to the script and see your feedback.
Thanks for watching!

Tsvetan, that looks really awesome. I hope that you remember to post it on some of the Studio Max forums as that's really where the interests will be quite good, and thanks for posting this for other forum members. Leroy.

I posted it on 1 cg forum. Maybe I will share it also on others, when I make some improvements. On youtube only it is hard to make traffic.
I want to make it speed up and down and able to rotate faster. At the moment it is possible to move a link for 1 frame (the fastest case).
Thanks
