I guess if you still play the game online the answer is yes as it has many bug fixes and some improvements in overall performance. I mostly create low poly game models so I personally haven't upgraded myself as 1.2 is easier to test models in the BZII map editor. Another note for people is that every update after 1.3 requires a separate installation of BZII as mods made for a previous version may not be compatible in newer versions of the game.

I really don't actively play the game online anymore so upgrading to the latest beta is more or less a waste of time and HD drive space. If BZII survives the test of time and the server related issues improve then I many eventually upgrade. Is anyone out there still playing BZII. As far as I know only a small handful of peeps even play anymore.

The latest PB I still use is 1.3.5.1 as it supports hover assault tanks and the aircraft class finally works somewhat. Later versions only use BZ2DXT which I personally don't care for along with playing MPI online.

It is frustrated, that this successful game was abandoned by its developers. It is clearly the game's fans shrink away. I am wondering if there are another new titles, similar to the BZ genre and units. In recent years the studios are mostly focused on RPG-s. I think it is more cheaply because RPG units have only an universal bone system, what can be applied for most of them by contrast with RTS units, which are so different.

Hey bro it's good to hear from you. I heard there is a remake in the works. BZII needs to be brought into the new graphic features of the present. Leroy.
