Forum description for new web visitors.

This is really just a casual easy going modeling tutorial forum for Caligari Truespace 3D modeling software. It features how to use TS to make 3D models with the software itself. You'll also find downloable files in the form of file attachments to some posts as well a some free 3D models uploaded by forum members. In addition to the main forum it has several sub forums for other Caligari modeling software like Caligari Gamespace 3D. We also have forums for Battlezone II Combat Commander, VRML modeling, and Unreal Tournament modeling plugins for Truespace. The original forum is about a year old now but is still actively maintained by my self as a general teaching aid to other people interested in 3D modleing in general. I welcome you all and encourage interested people to join the forum and share with others what you like about the art of creating things in three dimentional art forms.

The forum is under going constant changes to make it more fun and useful for forum members and web users who happen to stumble across us on the Internet. We also have a Live Chat feature for members wanting to yap with one another if their so inclined. Have fun and enjoy yourself folks. BNG123.

Is Truespace 6 an easy modeling software to master.

Truespace version 6.6 is a addon to the Truespace 7.6x modeling package. It serves as a bridge to older Caligari modeling tools including a wide array of popular import and export formats and numerous TSX based plugins that add a wide array of functions to broaden the overall modeling tools available in TS 6.6. Various free 3rd party TSX and RSX plugins are hosted on this forum for visitors and members to dowload in the form of attachments to many posts. They are provided free of charge for anyone interested in using Truespace 6.6 and 7.6x modeling software.

This version is included freely as an addon to Caligari's final product TS 7.6, and Beta 8 version 7.61. I personally find the TS 6.6 version include with 7.6X of TS much easier to use for casual model making hobbyists then TS 7.61 itself and it supports far more import and export options then 7.61 does.

The TS 6.6 user interface is a mainly icon based set of modeling tools integrated together with a simple 3D workspace typical to most modern modeling software.

The vast majority of the icon tools have a secondary function in adjusting tool settings with a simple right mouse click.

The configuration is a very efficient way of keeping the modeling workspace uncluttered yet quickly accessible on demand. The icons are all arranged in logical menu tool bars that can be expanded or completely hidden altogether.

If there is such a thing as a true 3D speed modeling software for modeling idiots then TS 6.6 would fit the description perfectly. Disclaimer: I can personally verify this simple fact as I'm a bonifide modeling idiot from day one. :oops:
