Truespace 3D Modeling Tutorials

I found this addon plugin online. It has 2 versions one for TS 4 and the other for TS 5. Both will install under TS 6 part of TS 7.6.

Note: TS plugins go in the TSX folder. To install them select the electrical plug icon in Truespace 6, locate the TrueX folder and in install the version 5 TSX as the version 4 TSX does not appear to work well for me; the geometry looks odd in 3D Exploration. I've tested and now use the Truex5.tsx for creating models for Battlezone II Combat Commander. The models are saved as X models and later converted to XSI with 3D Exploration 1.5.5.

Update: The TrueX X export plugin does not appear to be compatible with 3D Exploration. I my testing the version 4 screws up the geometry quite a bit.

The version 5 fairs a little better, but no texures appear on the model when converted to XSI and loaded into the BZII Map Editor. The weapons and other BZII read parts work fine as this X exporter does not rename parts like the stock TS X exporter does, i.e., hp_gun_1 gets renamed hp_gun_1-1; which screws up BZII's ability to read the part name correctly. The workaround for this is to add 2 space characters in the part name prior to exporting the model in the X format then when the model is converted to XSI with 3dex the resulting model works perfectly in the BZII Map Editor. PS: I'm always looking for new TS plugins and would appreciate some feedback if anyone comes across and sites that have TSX plugins for TS version 6, 7.6, or 7.61. Cheers, BNG.
